RAMBAN, Nov 13: The vehicular traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was disrupted for about three hours after landslides blocked road at Mehar near main Ramban bridge today.
Official sources told the Excelsior that due to landslides at Mehar, where road widening work is going on, suddenly landslides occurred at around 11.30 am and it blocked the busy highway. A large number of vehicles on both sides were stranded.

The National Highway authorities then pressed some machines for road clearance work and the highway could be restored at around 2.30 pm. The vehicles on both sides were then allowed to move ahead. There was heavy movement of vehicles from Kashmir side today. Massive traffic jam for hours in Ramban, Chanderkote, Nashri and Chenani areas, caused lot of problems for the commuters.
