SRINAGAR, Sept 4: A Kashgar trader of Xianjiang province of Peoples Republic of China who had strayed two kilometers inside Indian Territory in Ladakh region along with his car has been handed over to People’s Republican Army (PLA) of China.
An Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) patrol found a black colour Toyota Camera car with open roof, two kilometers inside the Indian Territory in Dualat Beg Oldie (DBO) area of Ladakh on August 28 morning. When the patrol party reached near the car they found an exhausted person there with huge Chinese currency.
The man was detained and on questioning he revealed to the Army and ITBP that he was driving on Western Highway and lost his way. He identified himself a trader from Kashgar and said he had run out of fuel and drinking water.
