TR Gupta Trust provides uniforms to poor students

JAMMU, May 5 : In order to reach out to the neglected section of the society, the T R Gupta Public Charitable Trust supplied uniform cloth for 360 poor students studying in Naveen Shiksha Kendra (NSK) High School, Bhalla Enclave, Channi Himmat.
In this regard a function was organized here today, during which Dr Ashok Gupta, senior most Trustee and son of the Chairman presented the cloth for uniforms to the Principal Rajni Sarangal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gupta explained the objectives of the Trust and said that it has been helping such schools and neglected areas for healthcare facilities through multi-specialty camps.
He said besides extending help to poor students in terms of uniforms, sweaters, textbooks, stationery items, scholarships and fans, the Trust is running a full-fledged healthcare institution at its office at Marble Market.
At this healthcare centre, the Trust has provided free of cost services of specialists including pediatrics, orthopedics, physician, ophthalmology and physiotherapy to the poor people besides free medicines to them.
Complimenting the Principal & the staff for maintaining good discipline in the school, he assured the management of any other help if they needed.
Earlier, vice president of Sawera, Ram Gopal Sharma welcomed the Trustees and others for this valuable help to the poor students.
This school is run by a noted NGO Sawera, set up by late Dr R R Khajuria, great social activist, popularly known as Vinobha Bhave, in the nineties for the neglected children of labour, mostly from outside J&K living in jhuggis to ensure that they too grow as an educated & responsible citizen.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Naresh Gupta, K B Jandial, Kailash Langer, Ajay Sabharwal, Raman Pargal, B S Salathia, S K Sambyal and Ved Raj Pargal.
