Tourism Deptt supported multi faceted programmes by CBC during Navratra Fest

JAMMU, Sept 12: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), UT of J&K and Ladakh (JKL) will organize multi-faceted cultural and patriotic programmes during the nine days of Navratra Festival beginning from September 26, 2022.
In this regard, Director Tourism Jammu, Vivekanand Rai and Joint Director CBC JKL, Ghulam Abbas held a meeting to review and finalize arrangements and activities during the Festival.
Abbas informed that CBC will organise a mega exhibition on different themes with special focus on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and freedom struggle of India showcasing unsung heroes of freedom struggle.
“The publicity activities will also include awareness about ‘Swaraj Serial’ being telecasted on Doordarshan, Azadi Quest-a series of online educational mobile games and other developmental schemes of Central Government,” he further said.
Abbas informed that during the Festival artists of the department and other empanelled private troupes will present cultural programmes on religious and various other developmental themes announced by the Central Government.
“Cultural Troupes from Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Chennai, Kohima, Kolkata and Ladakh will also enthral the audience,” he informed.
Joint Director CBC JKL also said that as part of pre-publicity activity, Field Offices of CBC will organize programmes like quiz, painting competitions and seminars to motivate the public to participate in the festival on large scale.
The Director Tourism assured every possible support from Tourism Department to CBC during the festival to make it successful.
Ravinder Vaishnavi and Durga Prakash from CBC and Sheena Sahni, Assistant Director Tourism, Jammu and Mehak Gupta, Accounts Officer, Tourism Department, Jammu were also present in the meeting.
