Tourism Deptt organises Navratri Festival at Bawe Wali Mata Mandir

JAMMU, Mar 19: The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, successfully organised the Chaitra Navratri Festival 2026 at the revered Bawe Wali Mata Mandir, Bahu Fort, amidst great religious fervour and devotion.
The event witnessed captivating religious and cultural performances presented by talented artists from the Cultural Department and the Information Department. Despite adverse weather conditions, the festival saw enthusiastic participation from devotees and visitors, who appreciated the efforts of the Tourism Department for organising such a spiritually uplifting and well-coordinated event. Visitors at the temple thoroughly enjoyed the performances and the vibrant atmosphere.
Members of the Mandir Committee and several NGOs were also present on the occasion, extending their support and cooperation in making the event a success.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Tourism, Jammu, Vikas Gupta highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the department to promote religious and pilgrimage tourism across the region. He specifically emphasized the promotion of key religious destinations such as Mata Vaishno Devi, Machail Mata, Sukrala Mata, Bala Sundri Mata , Jorian Wali Mata, Shiv Khori, and other prominent pilgrimage sites of Jammu division.
Deputy Director Publicity, Ms. Savita Chauhan, and Assistant Director Tourism, Jammu, along with their dedicated teams, were also present and played a pivotal role in the smooth and successful organisation of the event, even in challenging weather conditions.
