Tourism Advisory Committee

Sir,
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah more than three years ago had floated a novel idea of framing a ‘Tourism Advisory Committee”.
However, the process to materialize the much fruitful idea has not yet been initiated. The formulation of “Tourism Advisory Committee”, that surely would boost up the J&K’s Tourism industry, seems a distant dream. The Chief Minister should keep his word and formulate the said Committee at the earliest  ultimately for the benefit of J&K State as a whole.
Nevertheless, I reiterate my early suggestion that the “Tourism Advisory Committee” should  be  formulated at the district levels also. The valuable and significant opinions and suggestions of the experts and experienced people would be complemented by people at grass root levels and these would definitely prove beneficial to the state’s tourism sector. It is worth mentioning here that every district, tehsil and block of the state is fortunate enough that it has bountiful and multifaceted tourism potential which needs to be tapped, explored, preserved and promoted earnestly.
