TNWS expresses frustration over frequent power cuts

JAMMU, May 12: An emergency meeting was convened by the Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) here today to highlight the ongoing issue of frequent power cuts in Trikuta Nagar colony.
Residents, predominantly senior citizens and retired pensioners, expressed frustration over the disruptions, highlighting the reliance on electricity-dependent support systems, which are compromised during extended outages, posing potential risks to life.
Demanding accountability, the residents of Trikuta Nagar colony sought clarification from higher authorities of the PDD Department, citing unplanned and inadequately communicated power cut schedules.
They advocated for stringent measures, including penalties, to deter such occurrences in the future, emphasizing the need for uninterrupted power supply, especially considering full bill payments.
Prominent people present at the meeting included ML Mattoo, Varinder Suri, Ashok Kumar Arora, S N Kaul, Amarjeet Singh, B D Gupta, and K K Mahajan, with Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, President of TNWS Jammu.
