Tirumala: TTD steps up laddu distribution preparedness ahead of sacred event

TIRUMALA, Dec 25: As part of intensified preparations for the forthcoming Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, TTD chairman  BR Naidu on Thursday conducted an inspection of Srivari Laddu sales counters to review operational readiness and service delivery mechanisms.

During the inspection, Naidu examined the laddu issuance process, staff deployment, and quality control measures, including verification of laddu weight.

He also reviewed the functioning of Aadhaar-enabled kiosk machines introduced to facilitate laddu sales to devotees without darshan through digital registration and UPI-based payments.

Naidu interacted with devotees to assess the effectiveness of these technology-driven services and gathered feedback on overall facilities at the counters.

The chairman later visited the Boondi Potu to observe laddu preparation and offered instructions to officials to enhance efficiency and ensure uninterrupted production during peak pilgrim flow.

Addressing the media,  Naidu said the inspection was part of a comprehensive review of arrangements being put in place for the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan scheduled from December 30 to January 8.

He stated that TTD is currently distributing around four lakh laddus and 8,000 Kalyanotsavam laddus per day, and that production capacity will be augmented to meet increased demand.

He said robust systems are in place to ensure smooth, timely, and sufficient laddu distribution during the festive period.

The inspection was attended by Srivari Temple Deputy Executive Officer  Lokanatham, Potu Peishkari Muni Ratnam and other senior officials.
