SAMBA, June 1: A stone-laden tipper overturned on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in the middle of the road at Samba today. The tipper bearing Registration Number JK 02CE-5669 on way from Kathua to Jammu after reaching the Bhargava Degree College in Samba turned turtle after driver lost control over vehicle in an attempt to save a car coming from the wrong side.
The driver of the tipper suffered minor injuries in the accident and the car escaped safely.
The Samba Police and Traffic Police rushed to the spot to control the situation and started the work of removing the stones lying on the road by putting JCB till then the highway continued on one way.
Later the tipper was removed from the road with the help of a crane and the Highway was made smooth for the movement of vehicular traffic.
In this context, the police have registered a case and started further investigation.
