Time ripe to declare Pak a terrorist State: KPC

JAMMU, May 1: The Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today urged the Government of India, to take immediate and uncompromising action against Pakistan and its terror infrastructure that has been responsible for the genocide, displacement, and continued suffering of the Kashmiri Pandit community for the past several decades.
KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri, called upon the Indian Government to demolish all terrorist hideouts and launching pads, both across the border and within the Kashmir Valley, and destroy the terror ecosystem permanently. The time has come for Pakistan to be officially declared a terrorist country for its active sponsorship of terrorism and its war against the sovereignty of India.
He said that Pakistan’s direct involvement in radicalizing the Valley, creating militant networks, and sheltering international terrorists is no longer hidden from the world. Its evil agenda must be met with the harshest response. The Kashmiri Pandit community demands nothing less than total elimination of terrorism from our motherland.
Furthermore, the KPC strongly condemned the recent statements by Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah, who have opposed legitimate counter-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, opposing to demolish the houses of local terrorists and tried to shield the terrorists responsible for innocent bloodshed. Their stance is not only anti-national but also an open insult to the sacrifices of security forces and the pain endured by the victims of terrorism.
The KPC rejected their objection to the deportation of illegal nationals from Jammu and Kashmir. The demographic and security concerns of the UT must take precedence over the opportunistic politics of separatist sympathizers.
Kundan Kashmiri further stated that the time for rhetoric is over the time for total eradication of terrorism is now. “We wish to make it clear that there can be no compromise on national security. The nation must act decisively, destroy the terror roots, and punish those who act as agents and apologists of terrorism under the guise of politics’’.
M.K. Raina, Sushil Bhat, Tej Pandit , R.L. Raina, Rajinder Dhar, and other prominent leaders of the KPC were signatories to the statement.
