RS Pura, Dec 4: Expressing gratitude to the people for overwhelming support during filing nomination papers, BR Kundal (MLC), former Chief Secretary and Independent candidate from RS Pura has said that time has come to witness change for overall development of the area.
While addressing several public meetings at Chohala and other areas Mr Kundal said, “Usually candidates first seek votes to carry out development of the area but I seek support after developing several villages during my tenure as MLC. I did as much as I could do as MLC but if people want more progress of the area then they need to send him to the Assembly, ” Mr Kundal maintained.
He cautioned people not to fall prey of greedy politicians as they exploit the interest of common people. During Lok Sabha elections, people voted BJP but now BJP is still day dreaming and living in fool’s paradise as it thinks that they will make people fool again on that farce slogan of `Achhe Din’. He castigated BJP for “Ache Din Aane Wale Hai” and adding that BJP must show to people, where are its so called “Ache Din”. He further said that petroleum prices have been reduced but the fare charge is still same. BJP has not reduced the fare charges of public transport as it gives benefit to poor, adding that BJP has benefited only big industrialist and contractors.
It is alleged that Congress has sold tickets to candidates but buying or selling party ticket does not guarantee victory in elections, he said adding that people will vote as per their wish and they have decided to elect honest and dedicated candidate. He further said that some parties have deployed illiterate candidates who don’t know the meaning of MLA and asked people to reject them out rightly. He appealed people to support him as he believes in doing rather than saying.
He appealed people to give him 72 months to witness unprecedented growth in RS Pura in all sectors. Others who spoke on the occasion included Yograj Singh, Tarsem Lal, Ajay Bhagat, O P Khajuria, Harjit Singh-Panchs, Ranjit Singh, Numberdar Pardeep Kumar, Sudhakar Mal, Lalit Sharma, Bachan Lal Motton etc.
