JAMMU, Aug 25: Police arrested three persons, including two brothers, for their alleged involvement in a snatching case registered earlier this year.
A police official said on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, a police team from Sainik Colony intercepted a bike with a hidden number plate.
During questioning, the trio’s role in a snatching case from May came to light, he said.
According to him, the accused used to target delivery boys by threatening them with weapons and snatching cash and valuables.
Accordingly, he said, the arrested persons identified as Varun Rai Sudan and Jatin Rai Sudan, both residents of Resham Ghar Colony, and Gourav Nishcal of Punjab, presently living in Nanak Nagar, Jammu, were arrested today and produced before the court, where police obtained their nine-day custody for further investigation.
