POONCH, Mar 7: District Police Poonch has seized three tractor-trolleys involved in unauthorized extraction and transportation of mining material.
During naka checking and patrolling in vulnerable areas, police teams intercepted three tractor-trolleys loaded with illegally extracted material. The drivers failed to produce valid documents or permission from the competent authority for extraction and transportation of the said material.
Accordingly, the vehicles were seized on the spot under relevant provisions of law, and the Mining Department has been informed for further necessary action under the applicable mining laws.
