JAMMU, Oct 8: Jammu Police has seized three vehicles involved in the transportation of illegally mined material in the jurisdictions of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and Police Station Khour under the Rural Zone Jammu.
During the operation, a dumper (JK21-0139 L) and a tractor without a registration number were seized in the Jhajjar Kotli area, while another tractor (Chassis Number 006510144C3) was intercepted in Khour.
The vehicles were found engaged in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals, violating the existing mining laws. The District Mining Officer was informed to initiate further legal action as per the relevant rules and regulations.
