RAJOURI, Apr 10: Police here today seized three vehicles for their involvement in unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Vinay Kumar.
During drive, three vehicles were intercepted at different locations. One of the vehicles, bearing registration number JK11F-2220, was driven by Mohit Sharma, a resident of Saranoo, another with number JK11D-4713 was driven by Mohd Fareed from Potha and the third vehicle with number JK11G-7435 was driven by Tariq Hussain, a resident of Dharhali Bridge, Rajouri.
All the drivers failed to produce valid documents for mineral transportation, following which Police seized the vehicles on the spot.
Strict legal action has been initiated against the violators under the relevant provisions of law. Rajouri Police has reiterated their firm stance against any form of illegal mining, emphasizing that such activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
