JAMMU, June 4: Three drug peddlers were arrested with 13.41 grams of heroin-like-substance in Bishnah area today. A black Fortuner vehicle was also seized from their possession.
A police official said that Behzat Kanji of Nishat, Srinagar; Mohammad Younis of Phallain Mandal; and Mumtaz of Sakinderpur, Bishnah, were arrested with the consignment on June 3rd during routine naka checking by PSI Mohammad Zaid at Sakinderpur Kothey.
He said the accused were accordingly booked in case FIR number 51/2025 under sections 8, 21, 22, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
According to the police official, the entire operation was carried out by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Sushil Choudhary, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
