RAMBAN, Feb 17: Police here today under the guidance of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh has solved a theft case of Police Station Banihal and arrested three thieves in this regard besides recovering the stolen property worth one lakh rupees from their possession.
As per the case, on February 13, 2025, Mudasir Hamid Malik of Karawa Banihal submitted a written application at Police Station Banihal regarding theft of Batteries, tool kits and other items from a Yard in Karawa, Banihal area on the intervening night of February 11 and 12.
On this, a case in FIR No. 14/2025 U/S 303(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started during which cops rounded up many suspects and using technical evidence and human intelligence they rounded up three suspects Imtayz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd Tantray; Javed Ahmed Mir, son of Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Vaqar Ahmed Mir, son of Bashir Ahmed Mir-all residents of Kharpora, Banihal and they confessed their involvement in the crime after which they were arrested.
On their disclosure Police recovered the stolen property valuing more than rupees one lakh.
