Three held for hoarding, 75 LPG cylinders recovered

DODA, Mar 14: In a major action against hoarding and black-marketing of LPG cylinders, Police here today recovered 75 LPG cylinders from Bhadarwah during a raid and arrested three persons.
After receiving reliable information that some persons were illegally selling LPG cylinders to the public in Bhadarwah, SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta directed cops from Police Station Bhadarwah to raid.
Acting promptly, cops rushed to the spot and conducted a raid and apprehended three persons Abdul Hamid, son of Mohd Sultan, resident of Masjid Mohalla, Bhaderwah; Ghulam Rasool, son of Abdul Aziz Wani, resident of Mashra Dhar, Tehsil Marwah, Kishtwar, at present Pasari Bhaderwah and Mohd Sakhi, Gh. Mohd, resident of Kulhand Doda, at present Chakka Bhaderwah.
During checking, 8 filled LPG cylinders and 15 empty cylinders were recovered from the possession of Abdul Hamid, while 28 filled LPG cylinders and 24 empty cylinders were recovered from Ghulam Rasool.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 29/2026 under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Bhadarwah and investigation started.
