Three drug peddlers nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 9: Janipur and Kishtwar Police arrested three drug peddlers along with heroin.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered 4 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and pillion rider and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Shubam Sharma and Madhav Thakur, both residents of Katra District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 108/2022 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
Meanwhile, on specific information a team from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Inspector Abid Bukhari under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ashish Gupta laid a naka at Wasserkhud and arrested a drug peddler along with 7.5 grams of heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Ajaz Ahmed, son of Khushi Mohd Khanday of Thakrie District Kishtwar.
A case FIR Number 243/2022 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
