Three-day training workshop by BMS concludes

JAMMU, June 1: The three-day residential State Abayas Verg of Bharitya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) J&K in which more than 80 union leaders including 20 women from different unions of J&K participated concluded here today.
The participants were from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Reasi, Udhampur, Rajouri, Ramban Kishtwar, Anantnag, Baramulla and Srinagar.
Kshetriya Sangathan Mantri, Pawan Kumar briefed about Labour Codes and BMS consent and point of view for implementation of Wage Code 2019 and Code on Social Security 2020 and BMS stiff opposition to code on Industrial Relations 2020 and code on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions 2020 as these Codes are not workers friendly.
He also stressed that BMS is focusing for the welfare of GIG workers and other those who are involved in e-commerce activities.
Seh Sangathan Mantri, Sohan Lal Gupta stressed upon the need to maintain union accounts, returns filing by unions etc.
Satya Parkash, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner also participated and briefed in details about the benefits of this social security scheme, its implementation, complaints, grievance redressal etc.
Ashok Choudhary stressed upon that discipline and punctuality is the key factor in human growth.
Delegates were informed that Neelam Sharma, State general secretary has been nominated by BMS to represent working class in 113th International Labour Conference in Geneva starting from today and culminating on June 13, 2025.
