Three criminals held with sword

JAMMU, Sept 22: A swift operation by Police Station Peer Mitha led to the arrest of three criminals roaming near DPS School, allegedly threatening passersby with a sharp-edged weapon.
Acting on information from a reliable source, a police party comprising PSI Anshu Dubey, PSI Usman Butt and others, reached the spot. The suspects, armed with a sword, attempted to flee but were apprehended on the spot. A naked sword was seized from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as Adil Ahmed, son of Kurdish Ahmed of Gujjar Nagar; Karan Kumar, son of Krishna Lal of Bawe Wali Gali, Jammu; and Mohd Shoaib, son of Mohd Iqbal, also of Gujjar Nagar.
A case has been registered under FIR Number 38/2025 at PS Peer Mitha under sections 3(5), 351 BNS, and 4/25 Arms Act. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
