JAMMU, Dec 11: Police today arrested three persons for attempt to murder of a man, who was stabbed by the accused persons on December 7 in Nanak Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, on December 7, a stabbing incident took place at Nanak Nagar, wherein some miscreants made an attempt to murder one Harjeet Singh son of Gurmukh Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
“Accordingly a case FIR No 293/2015 under Sections 307/341/323/34/147/149 RPC, 4/25 Arms was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and during the course of investigation, special teams were constituted for arresting the accused persons”, the spokesperson said.
He further said today a team of police led by SI Vicky Thappa and SHO, police station Gandhi Nagar, Inspector, Bishnesh Kumar, raided hideouts of accused persons within the city and its outskirts and arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Charan Singh alias Charna son of Ajit Singh, a resident of H No 62, Sector 13, Nanak Nagar, Jagjit Singh alias Tanna son of Ram Singh, a resident of Ward No 2, Bhor Camp and Jaspreet Singh alias Tina son of Kulwant Singh, a resident of H No 48, Sector 6, Nanak Nagar.
The whole operation was conducted under close supervision of SDPO City South, Sachin Gupta, SP City South, Shahzad Salaria and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
