SAMBA, Oct 12: Thous-ands of people throng Purmandal, Utterbehni Shrines in Samba district and ancient temple in Arwan Kathua on the occasion of Shangari Amawasiya today and performed the religious rituals there.
There was a huge rush of pilgrims at these shrines as people from neighboring States of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh had also reached there to participate in the religious functions.
Due to the heavy rush of yatris at Purmandal and Utterbehni today there was a huge traffic jam for hours together. The yatris were also seen traveling on roof tops of buses and matadors as the authorities had failed to make the proper arrangements of transport for the pilgrims.
