RAJOURI, June 18: The annual Urs of revered Sufi Saint, Hazrat Sayed Baji Muzaffar Hussain Shah Sahib, popularly known as Baji Sahib, was observed with great religious fervor and spiritual devotion at village Bravi in Kalakote area of Rajouri district.
Thousands of devotees from various parts of Jammu & Kashmir and neighboring areas thronged the Bravi Darbar Sharief to pay homage and seek blessings at the shrine of the great Sufi saint. The Urs, celebrated annually, marks a significant spiritual occasion for followers of Sufism and lovers of peace and harmony.
The concluding day of the Urs witnessed the soulful recitation of the Holy Quran, heartfelt Naat recitals, and special prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity of the Union Territory and the nation.
Religious scholars and devotees came together to reflect upon the life, teachings, and spiritual legacy of Hazrat Baji Sahib (RA), who was known for his deep piety, compassion, and commitment to human values.
This year too, the Gadinashin of Bravi Darbar, Sayed Baji Basharat Hussain Shah led the prayers and welcomed the devotees who had gathered in large numbers to participate in the Urs.
A community langer was organized on the occasion, ensuring that every visitor was served with meals, reflecting the values of service and unity that Baji Sahib (RA) stood for.
Prominent political leaders, religious scholars, social activists, and community elders also participated in the Urs and paid floral tributes to the Saint. They highlighted the relevance of Baji Sahib’s teachings in today’s times, calling his life a guiding light for interfaith harmony, tolerance, and universal brotherhood.
The atmosphere at Bravi Darbar remained spiritually charged as people from diverse backgrounds joined hands in a collective celebration of faith, peace, and unity.
