Thieves strike hotel in Patnitop

UDHAMPUR, June 28:  Thieves struck Subash Hotel at  Patnitop and decamped with cash as well as costly jewelry items of the tourists, staying in  the hotel, last night.
According to Police,  thieves barged into Subash Hotel and looted two diamond rings,  one gold set and cash of rupees 28000 from room number 401, where a Jammu based family was staying.
The matter was brought into the notice of Kud Police, which has registered the case and  started investigation. No arrest was yet made in this regard.
Meanwhile,  burglars also struck  in Kainthgali area of Panchari and stole  cash of Rs  4.50 lacs and other articles from a Karyana shop and Amar Wine Shop.
Burglars broke the shutter of Karyana shop last late night  and looted Rs 4.50 lacs, which were kept  by the shop owner Raj Singh  for purchasing  news goods for his shop from Jammu and Udhampur on Sunday.
In other incident, burglars struck  in Amar Wine Shop and looted the costly wine bottles and cash of rupees three thousand from the shop.
On  getting the information , Panchari police reached the spot along with FSL team, which lifted the finger prints and other evidence from the spot .
Police has registered a case in this regard  and started investigation.
