Thieves decamp with gold worth Rs 1.5 cr

JAMMU, Apr 30: Unidentified thieves decamped with 150 tolas of gold worth Rs 1.5 crore from a house falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bakshi Nagar.
The incident happened on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday when the thieves entered the premises of one Baldev Singh son of Jandu Ram of Jourian at present Bakshi Nagar and committed the theft in the presence of his (Baldev’s) family members.
“Reportedly, 150 tolas of gold and some silver ornaments worth approximately Rs 1.5 crore have been stolen in the incident,” a police official said. Click here to watch video
Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and started further investigation into the matter.
