JAMMU, May 6: Unidentified thieves struck a house in Bishnah area and decamped with 18-20 tolas of gold ornaments worth lakhs.
The incident happened last night when family members of Basant Kumar son of Charan Dass of Saini Kothey Village in Bishnah area were out to attend a marriage function.

“When we returned home from the function around 11 pm, we found a wooden ply fitted with the AC broken. On checking further, we found around 18-20 tolas of gold and Rs 4000 cash kept in the lockers missing,” Usha Rani, a family member of Basant Kumar said.
She said, on their complaint, police have started further investigation into the matter.
However, no FIR was registered till the press time as the police team was conducting inspection of the crime spot along with the forensic team and the dog squad.
