JAMMU, Feb 20: Thieves barged into the house and decamped with 28 tolas gold ornaments, Rs 15,000 cash and some other items.
As per police sources, burglars entered into a house at Janipur Colony during the intervening night of February 19 and 20 and decamped with 28 tolas gold ornaments, Rs 15000 cash and some other items, when the family members were not at home.
In the morning, when the house owner namely Pankaj Dogra (Government employee in Agriculture Department), son of Mahesh Chander, a resident of Janipur Colony came back and noticed that the thieves had barged into his house and decamped with 2 male rings of 20 grams, 5 female rings of 60 grams, 2 bangles of 30 grams, 2 gents chain with locket of 30 grams, 1 mangal sutra of 50 grams, 2 gold set of 70 grams and 2 jhumke sets of 20 grams, Rs 15000 cash and lodged a complaint with police.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 16/18 under relevant Sections has been registered at Janipur Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the thieves.
