JAMMU, May 23: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested a thief with stolen Rs 1,11,850 and 20 grams gold items.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar by a person namely Rajeev Gupta, son of Charanjeet Lal Gupta of Mazdoor Basti, Resham Ghar, District Jammu regarding theft in his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 71/2022 under Sections 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar was constituted.
The team did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Deepak Kumar alias Deepu alias Daana, son of Amit Kumar alias Manga of Kalka Colony, Bahu Fort, District Jammu.
On his disclosure, Rs 1,11,850 cash and 20 grams of gold items were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
