JAMMU, June 19: Nehru Market police under Operation Meghdoot arrested a thief and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Nehru Market police post detained a suspect for questioning in theft case.
During questioning, the suspect broke down and confessed that he had stolen a motorcycle from Katra.
The accused has been identified as Kaake Kumar, son of Darshan Kumar, a resident of tehsil Akhnoor. On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen motorcycle.
A case under FIR Number 116/17 under Section 379 RPC stands registered against him at Katra police station and further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Nehru Market police post SI Kunal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Ritesh Samyal, SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
