REASI, Nov 4: With the arrest of accused and recovery of stolen item, police solved a case of theft that took place at the house of one Pankaj Sharma at village Bhaga, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Reasi.
Pankaj Sharma, son of Lt Yog Raj, had lodged a written complaint regarding theft of one gold ring, a pair of silver anklets and a silver Mangalsutra by some unknown persons. On this a case FIR number 173/2024 U/S 331(4)/305 (A) BNS was registered at P/S Reasi.
During the course of investigation, a police team of Police Station Reasi after hectic efforts and with the help of technical analysis, detained one suspect namely Navjhot Singh son of Rajinder Singh , resident of House No. 314 Trikuta Nagar, Jammu who upon sustained questioning, confessed his involvement in the instant case.
Further on his disclosure, Police recovered one gold ring, a pair of silver anklets and a silver Mangalsutra. Further investigations to unearth linkages of the arrested accused with other theft cases of district Reasi is going on.
