Theft in Mendhar shrine, Rs 33000 cash stolen

POONCH, Dec 10:  A theft took place in the famous shrine  of  Peer  Mardan Shah, at village   Ari in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch last night.
Reports  said that some unknown thieves barged into the shrine of Peer Mardan Shah last night and broke opened the public donation box installed there. They decamped with  Rs 33,000 cash along with some other articles.
The shrine priest/ Moulvi informed locals of the area about the matter in the morning. The locals assembled there in large number.   Then they informed police about the matter.  SHO and Tehsildar concerned reached there. The police registered a case and started investigation. They tried to pacify  public  and assured that case would be solved shortly.
