Theft case worked out, stolen items recovered in Arnia

JAMMU, July 16: Police in Arnia area here claimed today they have solved a theft case by arresting the accused and recovering several stolen items from his possession.
A police official said the breakthrough was achieved in case FIR number 44/2025 under sections 331(4), 305 BNS registered on the complaint of one Surinder Kumar son of Pritam Singh of Suhagpur, Arnia, who alleged theft of several items from his residence by one Rakesh Kumar of RS Pura, along with other individuals.
He said acting swiftly on the investigative leads and a crucial disclosure by the accused, a team of Police Station Arnia led by SHO concerned Inspector Dilawar Kumar, conducted a targeted recovery operation in Suhagpur Village of Arnia.
The operation led to the seizure of a large quantity of stolen property, including one paint bucket, one toilet seat, three main hole plates/covers, 15 iron rods, one blue submersible motor, three pieces of GI pipe, one GI bend, one electric motor, one welding set cable, 20 LED bulbs, one key loom, four tap irons, 12 kilograms of copper wire, and two motorcycles, he said.
According to the police official, the accused led the police to the location of concealment and identified the exact spot.
The recovery was carried out in the presence of independent witnesses and a formal seizure memo was prepared at the scene, he said.
The police official added that further investigation is ongoing as additional arrests and recoveries in the case are expected.
