Theft case worked out: Police

JAMMU, Feb 6: Police in Jammu’s Sainik Colony area here claimed they have solved a theft case and recovered stolen copper wires and other valuable items worth around Rs 1.5 lakhs.
A police official said that a theft case was reported by one Bhanu Pratap of Sector E, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, who claimed that copper wires worth Rs 2 lakh had been stolen from his under-construction house in Sector A, Sainik Colony.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 26/2025 was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started into the matter.
He said with the help of human and technical intelligence, the investigating team arrested the accused and recovered the stolen items, including the copper wires, from their possession.
