JAMMU, Mar 24: Khour Police worked out a theft case within 24 hours with the arrest of the burglar and recovery of stolen items.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged at Police Station Khour by Romesh Chander, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Khour that some unknown thieves have stolen household items from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 15/2021 under Section 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Khour and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Khour Inspector Balvinder Singh and assisted by ASI Yash Paul did strenuous efforts and finally with the help of technical assistance and CCTV camera footage of the area arrested the thief, who was identified as Harbans Singh, son of Hoshnak Singh of Khour, District Jammu.
On his disclosure stolen items including 1 gas cylinder, 1 battery, 1 water cooler, 1 ceiling fan, 1 rice cooker, 1 inverter, 1 voltage stabilizer, 1 induction, 1 fry pan, 1 heater classic, 2 curd cushers and 1 standing fan were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
