Theft case solved, stolen property recovered

JAMMU, Jan 19: In a significant breakthrough, Police Post Sidhra successfully solved a theft case and recovered stolen property valued at Rs 1 lakh.
The theft, which occurred in Asrarabad, Sidhra, was reported on 18th January by Mohd Fareed, a resident of the area. According to his complaint, unknown thieves had broken into his brother’s house and stolen valuable items, including two pairs of silver bangles, one pair of silver earrings and a gold necklace.
Following the complaint, an FIR (Number 13/2025) was registered under relevant sections of the BNS Act at Police Station Nagrota, and an investigation was swiftly launched. During the course of the investigation, the police apprehended a suspect, Sartaj Ali alias Kaka, also a resident of Asrarabad, Sidhra.
Upon interrogation, Ali revealed crucial information that led to the recovery of all the stolen items, which were subsequently seized as evidence. The accused has been arrested and is currently in police custody while further investigations continue.
