RAMBAN, Aug 22: Police here today apprehended a juvenile who was involved in the theft of silver ornaments and cash amounting to Rs. 60,000.
According to Police, Mohd Rafiq, son of Akbar, resident of Chappri Kanga, Dharamkund lodged a complaint at Police Station Dharamkund regarding theft of 12 tola silver ornaments and cash amounting to Rs. 60,000 from his home.
Accordingly, a case in FIR No. 17/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered.
SSP Ramban, Arun Gupta constituted a special police team headed by SHO Police Station Dharamkund to solve the theft case.
Acting swiftly, cops from Police Station Dharamkund apprehended a juvenile and on his disclosure recovered the stolen ornaments and cash.
Cops were handling the case as per the procedure laid in Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act.
