It is absolutely historical, unique in nature and certainly exhibits a sense of welfarism on the part of the Govt, who breaking the bearriers of time, that is, seven decade after displacement of millions of people from PoJK during tragic days of 1947, a package to ameliorate their lot and compensate the losses they suffered in those days, has been given to the state for disbursement fairly and expeditiously, Surely, both Centre and to State Govts deserve heartful obligations and thanks from all those who have been waiting painfully, but patiently. But it is disappointedly projected that the speed with which the disbursement is being done is entirely not encouraging. Firstly, procurement of the documents, needed to complete a file isn’t easily manageable. Not withstanding even by payment of demanded money by the agencies concerned, and secondly, hair spliting and consequent objections being slapped on the cases, is delaying the process of disbursement. As a result, till now, innumerable families, after submission of their cases, have been waiting for several months. Delay breeds corruption. It is highly disatisfying that the process of disbursement totally lacks transparency and fairness. The PRO, Jammu is requested to look into the cases sympathetically so that the onus of disbursement put on the shoulders is discharged in the spirit it is needed.
