KARGIL, Aug 3: Defeating Leh XI in an exciting contest by 2 runs in the summit clash, The Club SB lifted the title trophy of the Yarana Premier League 2019, here today.
90 teams drawn from all over the State took part in the tournament.
Haji Inayat Ali, Chairman Legislative Council was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar was the guest of honour. District Youth Sports and Services Officer, Mohd Hussain Rehnuma was the special guest.
During this tournament, the organisers collected funds for the Yateem Trust and the Yarana Indian Baroo also donated Rs 60, 000 for the education of the students of the Yateem Trust. The team from Leh and The Club SB also donated for the Yateem Trust.
The winner’s were presented Rs 80,000 as cash prize along with a trophy, while runners-up team received a cash prize of Rs 60,000 and a trophy. Rs 10,000 was presented to winner of the man of the series award. Kalyan, who took 26 wickets in the tournament, was adjudged as the man of the series.
The man of the match award was bagged by Rouf Mir, who got Rs 3000 as a cash prize.
