TGC organizes Blood Donation Camp

JAMMU, Dec 9: In the memory of its Founder Chairman, Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma, on his birth anniversary, the Trikuta Group of Colleges (TGC) organized its 9th Blood Donation Camp here today.
The camp was inaugurated by Sham Lal Sharma, MLA of Jammu North Assembly Constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of selfless service to society.
He lauded the TGCs and Shri Sain Charitable Trust for their consistent efforts in organizing such meaningful initiatives.
Highlighting the critical role of blood donation in saving lives, he urged the youth to actively participate in these humanitarian endeavours and become torchbearers of compassion and social responsibility.
Sharma also reminisced about the immense contributions of Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma and praised his vision and dedication to the welfare of society.
The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with 80 volunteers from diverse groups, including teaching and non-teaching staff, students, post-graduate scholars and interns, donating blood as a gesture of service to humanity.
Addressing the gathering, Suman Sharma, Chairperson of Shri Sain Charitable Trust, emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation and urged more people to come forward for such life-saving initiatives.
She expressed her commitment to organizing similar events in the future, aligning with the Trust’s mission to promote health and social welfare.
The event was graced by Ritesh Sharma and Ravish Sharma, Managing Directors of the Trust, along with the Principals of the associated colleges.
The CEOs of the Trust, Dr. Nitin Mahajan, Japna Sharma and Jasudha Sharma also extended their support to the event.
