Previous blasts likely to be worked out

JAMMU, Oct 18: Security forces today arrested a terror suspect and recovered four grenades from his possession which he along with some others had to throw at vulnerable areas to cause terror activities. Arrest was made in Dundak area of Surankote tehsil in Poonch district.

Major subversive activities have been averted with the arrest of terror suspect who has been identified as Abdul Aziz of Dundak.
Two to three grenade attacks carried out in the past in Poonch and Surankote are expected to be worked out with the arrest of Aziz as he is suspected to be involved in the terror activities.
Reports said a joint team of Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) and police nabbed the terror suspect during a joint search operation in Dundak area of Surankote in Poonch district today.
Security forces recovered four grenades from his possession.
Aziz has been shifted for sustain interrogation to ascertain source of taking grenades and the areas where he and his associates planned to throw them.
Sources, however, said that major terror strikes have been averted with timely arrest of the suspect and recovery of grenades from his possession.
Some more arrests are expected during further interrogation of Abdul Aziz.
