Ten stolen motorcycles recovered as police bust theft network

JAMMU, Nov 25: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Gangyal today claimed to have busted a theft network by recovering more than 10 stolen motorcycles.
The action followed a rise in vehicle theft incidents in Gangyal area, prompting the police station to launch a focussed crackdown under the supervision of senior officers.
A police official said that special teams were formed, with one led by PSI Atta-ur-Rehman, assisted by SgCT Manpreet Singh and SPO Tarsem Lal, who conducted field checks, studied crime patterns, and searched suspected hideouts.
“The sustained efforts of the teams led to the recovery of multiple motorcycles linked to different cases,” he said.
The police official said “further investigation is underway and more recoveries are expected as the network is fully dismantled.”
