JAMMU, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have solved a theft case registered at Police Station Domana by arresting the accused woman and recovering the stolen gold, silver ornaments, and cash from her possession.
Officials said a case FIR number 242/2025 under the relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Domana after the priest of the Baglamukhi temple, Keshav Verma reported theft of gold, silver ornaments, and cash by unknown.
Following the registration of the FIR, they said, a team of Police Station Domana, led by SHO concerned, Inspector Varuneshwar Singh, assisted by PSI Amit Roshan meticulously analysed the CCTV footage and acted on reliable inputs to identify the suspect, later identified as Rashmi Rattan of Nitco Lane, Tallab Tillo, Jammu.
After the accused was arrested and put to sustain questioning, she confessed her involvement in the crime, officials said, adding that on her disclosure, the stolen gold, silver ornaments and cash were recovered from her possession.
