Temple theft case solved, stolen items recovered

KATRA, Nov 13: Police Reasi solved a temple theft case within 24 hours of its registration and arrested two accused persons involved in the crime.
Last midnight, one Arjun Singh of Kun Kanyalan, Panthal, Katra had lodged a written complaint at Police Post Kakryal regarding a theft at Shiv Temple, Panthal, wherein some temple items had been stolen by unknown thieves. Acting promptly, case FIR No. 311/2025 U/S 331(4), 305(d) BNS was registered at Police Station Katra.
During the course of investigation, the police team of PP Kakryal led by its incharge traced and arrested two accused persons namely Sunil Kumar son of Om Parkash, resident of Sambal, Udhampur and Tilak Raj son of Gyan Chand, resident of Nali Treen, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi. All the stolen items worth approximately Rs 20,000 have been recovered from their possession. The vehicle (Taxi) bearing registration number JK14L-0941, used by accused Sunil Kumar in the commission of the crime, has also been seized.
