Temple burglary solved, 1 held with stolen items

DODA, Nov 6: Police here today cracked a temple burglary case within 24 hours of its reporting and arrested the burglar besides recovering the stolen items.
A complaint was lodged by Rajesh Kumar, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Golibagh, Doda, regarding theft of valuables from a local temple. Accordingly cops registered a case in FIR with number 252/2025 U/S 331(4)/305 BNS at Police Station Doda.
Acting on the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a special investigation team was constituted which was led by SHO Doda, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda, Krishan Rattan.
During investigation, cops apprehended one Illyas Ahmed Shan, son of Gh. Modiud Din, resident of Shahpura, Ganika, Doda who confessed his involvement in the crime.
On his disclosure, Police recovered the stolen temple property including 3 copper bells and 2 silver canopies (Chhatar).
Further investigation into the case was in progress.
