Telecom employee’s blind murder solved, youth nabbed

RAJOURI,  July 2:  The police claimed to have solved the blind murder case of  a private Telecom company employee at Sunderbani with the arrest of a local youth.
The body of the deceased Jisetho, son of Sirhitho, resident of Nagaland, was found lying near cremation ground at Sunderbani on June 23.  He was working with a private telecom company and was recently posted in Sunderbani area. The company was involved in lying under ground cables in  Rajouri and Poonch area.  Jisetho had arrived Sunderbani  hardly second week of June.
His dead body with mutilated face and head with stones  and multiple injuries was found lying near a cremation ground, at Sunderbani during early morning of June 23, 2016. He went missing on the night of June 22. The police registered   a case FIR No. 39/ 2016 and started investigation.
The police investigation party led by SHO Sunderbani,  Ravinder Parihar,  lifted his three associates who were also his room partners and placed  them under sustained interrogation. They revealed that on the evening of June 22, they along with Jisetho went to the local Bar and took liquor there. They kept sitting there till late and then returned to the room.
” When we  reached near Bus Stand, Jisetho asked to drink some more and we told him that if he wanted to consume more liquor, he should go alone and come back to the room himself shortly. Thereafter,  we left  for the room and Jisetho went back to bar,” they added.
The police then interrogated bar owner and employees  and also made a list of persons often visiting that bar.  The police managed to get a clue from there.  The police found that one notorious youth of the area who used to visit that bar almost daily went missing after June 22.  Jisetho was also seen with him on that night. The police continued to keep his track. Last night,  he came home and was picked up by police.  Identified as Rajan Sharma (20), son of  Vijay Kumar, resident of Makana village near Sunderbani, he was placed under interrogation.
During his sustained  interrogation by police, he broke and confessed  that he was behind his killing. Rajan told police that  he found Jisetho a new comer to the  bar.  His eyes were on his costly mobile phone and cash which he saw while he was paying bill.  He was heavily drunk and he became friendly with him on way. Then he started walking with him and he took him towards cremation ground. He  hit on his head with stone and he fell down there.  He died on the spot and then he snatched his mobile phone and cash and escaped.   His face was also disfigured with stone.  The police party solved this blind murder  under the supervision of ASP Nowshera and SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh.
