KATHUA, Nov 24: Youth National Conference (YNC) provincial president Jammu, Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, called upon the youth to actively support and promote the National Conference’s policies aimed at empowering young people in Jammu and Kashmir.
He was speaking at a youth meeting in District Kathua Rural, organized by district president YNC Kathua Rural, Vishavjeet Singh. In his address, Aman strongly criticized the BJP-led Central Government for “failing to deliver jobs” over the last decade and for misleading young people with “false promises.” He expressed deep concern over recruitment scams, particularly the JK Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam, highlighting how unemployment has left youth disillusioned and frustrated.
Recalling the tenure of the Omar Abdullah-led Government, Aman said significant focus was placed on youth welfare, with young people being adjusted in various Government departments and numerous schemes launched to promote private and semi-government employment avenues.
Aman urged the youth to stay away from drugs, concentrate on skill development, and prepare for emerging employment opportunities. He assured that an Omar Abdullah-led Government would work to create substantial job avenues across Government, semi-government, and private sectors.
Former MLA Sagar Chand and district president Kathua Rural, Sham Narian Mehta, also addressed the gathering, encouraging youth workers to remain connected with the people and work diligently to address their issues.
Aman later handed over the nomination letter to newly appointed district president YNC Kathua Rural, Vishavjeet Singh, directing him to constitute the district committee at the earliest.
