JAMMU, Dec 8: The State Vigilance Organization has booked then Tehsildar Akhnoor and then Patwari Khour for allegedly misusing their official position and manipulating Revenue record of a piece of land in Khour.
A case FIR No. 35/2015, under Section 5(1) (d) read with 5(2) PC Act and Sections 468, 471, 120-B, RPC,  has been registered against Tehsildar Vijay Kumar and Patwari Padam Kumar.
The duo, had hatched a criminal conspiracy with Joginder Singh and Sikandar Singh, both sons of Babu Ram of village Khour and manipulated the record of the land of complainant Baldev Singh.  On the basis of a fake affidavit (Mukhtar-e-Aam) purportedly shown executed by Baldev Singh in the favour of Joginder Singh and his brother Sikandar Singh, the accused public servants changed the name of original owner in Girdawari to the beneficiaries.
Following a complaint in this regard by Baldev Singh, the Vigilance Organization prima-facie established that the Revenue officers/officials in connivance with beneficiary namely Joginder Singh and Sikander Singh,  exhibited gross misconduct by blatant abuse of their official position and  thereby conferred undue benefit upon them.
The land in question,  measuring 02 kanals and 03 marlas,  falls  under khasra number  1830 at village Khour Akhnoor.
