Srinagar Jan 6: Government today suspended Tehsildar Bijbehara for defying orders and Assistant Commissioner Kashmir was named the inquiry officer to look into the situation.
According to an order, Tehsildar Bijbehara Ghulam Rasool Bhat has been suspended for non-compliance with orders conveyed to him.
“Pending an investigation into the complaint lodged by Ghulam Rasool (Chairman Auqaf Committee Nowshera Tehsil Srigufwara, Anantnag) and his failure to comply with orders conveyed to him via this office letter No. DivCom/PS/Misc/2022-23/2418-20, Dated December 20, 2022, Ghulam Rasool Bhat Tehsildar Bijbehara (Additional Charge Tehsil Srigufwara), District Anantnag is hereby suspended with immediate effect and attached to the office of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag,” the order states.
It further states that Assistant Commissioner Kashmir has been appointed as an inquiry officer to look into the situation. “He shall submit his findings, report, and recommendations within a week’s time,” it reads.
