REASI, June 4: Two neighbouring teenaged friends attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Reasi town, here today.
They have been identified as Rohit Kumar (19), son of Ashok Kumar and Anil Kumar (18), son of Som Raj. Both are resident of Ram Gali in Reasi and consumed some poisonous substance in their respective houses.
Reports said that the duo had gone to Shiv Khori yesterday on a bike and were challaned by Police for not keeping valid registration papers.
Today on reaching home, Rohit Kumar was allegedly reprimanded by the family members following which he consumed some poisonous substance in a fit of rage.
Hearing about the news, Amit Kumar also consumed poison and the duo was shifted to District Hospital Reasi where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their critical condition.
